Warranty and Service

The broncolor Canada warranty applies to all broncolor power packs, lamps, monolights and accessories purchased from authorized Canadian broncolor partners only (See https://www.broncolor.ca/buy-rent/ for a complete list of authorized broncolor Canada partners). Only partners listed therein are considered authorized dealers as it pertains to sales, warranty and service of broncolor products in Canada.

We offer a two-year factory guarantee from the date of purchase (for the first owner) on the above broncolor products. Excluded from this guarantee are flash tubes, halogen lamps, safety glasses, cables, batteries and textiles. Faults resulting from non-observance of safety instructions, incorrect handling, use of accessories from another manufacturer, or unauthorized intervention/modification are excluded from the factory guarantee. We assume no liability for damage resulting from nonobservance of safety instructions, incorrect handling, use of accessories from another manufacturer, or unauthorized intervention/modification. In the event of technical problems, please contact the nearest authorized broncolor service station immediately. Article numbers, product descriptions, and the scope of supply can vary from one country to another. For more detailed information please contact your broncolor sales partner. Warranty coverage begins from the date of purchase. Valid in all Canadian Provinces and Territories.

Exceptions and Exclusions

Except to the extent restricted or prohibited by law, this warranty is subject to the following limitations and exclusions:

  1. This warranty covers eligible broncolor products purchased from authorized broncolor Canada partners only and does not provide a warranty of any type or of any manner for any products purchased from unauthorized resellers, without exception. If you purchase any broncolor product from an unauthorized dealer via “Fulfilled by Amazon” or any other outlet or clearance warehouse, whether physical or virtual storefront, you will not receive any Canadian warranty or service.
  2. This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is not assignable or transferable;
  3. This warranty shall not apply to any product which has been subjected to misuse, alteration, abuse, negligence or accident (including being dropped), general wear and tear or has had its serial number or CSA Approval sticker altered or removed;
  4. This warranty does not cover normal wear or cleaning, including dust;
  5. This warranty shall not apply to any defects or damage directly or indirectly caused by the use of unauthorized replacement parts and/or service performed by unauthorized personnel;
  6. This warranty shall not apply to any batteries or damage directly or indirectly caused by batteries;
  7. This warranty shall not apply to flash tubes or modelling bulbs;
  8. This warranty does not apply to monolights, packs or lamps that require CSA Approval but have not been inspected and approved. It is illegal to market, sell or service any AC appliance that has not received CSA Approval (and the accompanying tamper-resistant serial numbered label).

Warranty Claims

If you have a warranty claim, please return the product to the authorized broncolor Canada partner from whom it was purchased or send it directly to Amplis Foto. Include a copy of your proof of purchase and a detailed description of the problem. Full contact information including your name, address, telephone number and email address is required. Please pack your equipment carefully, insure it and ship it prepaid. We will not accept any shipment that is not fully prepaid. If a shipment is received as damaged in transit, we will notify you so you may initiate a claim with the shipper. Amplis Foto will assist with photos and description of the damage. Amplis Foto will not repair any unit damaged in transit until the shipping company and their insurer have contacted us to resolve the claim.

If your broncolor product is found to be defective, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge, at our discretion. Amplis Foto will pay the return shipping charge for warranty returns.

If your broncolor product requires non-warranty repairs, we will provide you with a preliminary estimate. Please note that Amplis Foto charges an estimate fee of $200 plus shipping and applicable taxes.

Make sure you label your package

You should clearly label your box with “From” and “To” addresses. We strongly recommend that you cover the label with clear tape to ensure it is protected from water or tearing during shipping.

Include a detailed problem description & provide full contact information

Inside the box, please write a detailed description of your problem. We recommend you include all necessary accessories such as protecting glasses, protective caps and power cords.

Ensure you send your package “Tracked”. Insurance is at your discretion but recommended.

For warranty service eligibility, a copy of a sales receipt from a broncolor authorized Canadian dealer is required detailing the dealer’s name, address, telephone number, date of purchase, broncolor product with model number and serial number. Please see this page for a list of authorized broncolor Canada dealers.

Disclaimers

broncolor Canada, Amplis Foto, its employees and authorized agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss damage direct or indirect or consequence arising out of the use or the inability to use the broncolor product. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied.

You should always retain your original proof of purchase for your records. You must present your dated proof of purchase that includes the model number, serial number, price and address of your authorized broncolor partner in Canada if you are in need of warranty or repair service.

Please note that broncolor Canada and its authorized partners reserve the right to refuse service and/or warranty claims for products which are being presented to a dealer who was not the selling dealer and/or have not been purchased from an authorized Canadian broncolor dealer. Products not purchased from authorized broncolor Canada partners may be eligible for paid service, at the discretion of broncolor Canada and Amplis Foto. If the broncolor product in need of service requires CSA inspection, has not been approved or is missing its CSA approval label, this service may be offered by broncolor Canada and Amplis Foto as a paid service to the consumer. Requisite CSA approval must be attained prior to any service performed, except for any modifications necessary to ensure CSA approval. broncolor Canada Service will advise of all modifications and costs prior to submitting your product for CSA approval.

You may have additional rights and privileges under local law and broncolor Canada’s warranty is provided in addition to any rights provided under relevant laws.
